Nonlinear optics: Three-wave mixing and four-wave mixing processes, optical parametric amplification, optical parametric oscillation, fiber amplifiers, mathematical modelling of Gaussian-beam pumped optical parametric amplifiers.
Quantum optics: Quantum theory of light, statistical optics, nonclassical states of light, squeezed states, generation of nonclassical states of light via optical parametric amplification, parametric down-conversion, quantum imaging.
